Dear ACTRIS Community,

This message is meant for all of you working with chemical ionization mass spectrometry.

We warmly invite you to take part in an intercomparison workshop for chemical ionization mass spectrometry to measure condensable vapors from 27th February to 10th March 2023, Leipzig, Germany, at TROPOS premises.

The workshop is organized by University of Helsinki (ACTRIS Centre for Reactive Trace Gases In Situ Measurements - CiGas) together with TROPOS in collaboration with the OrGanic Tracers and Aerosol Constituents - Calibration Centre (OGTAC-CC, CAIS-ECAC). Please, find more information below and enclosed.

NOTE: The original timing of the workshop was September 2022 but we had to postpone the workshop to spring 2023 to ensure better participation from the ACTRIS community.

Please indicate your interest in participating in the workshop by 7th November 2022 via contacting us at actris-api@helsinki.fi. We are also happy to answer any questions you may have.

Thank you very much!

Sincerely,
University of Helsinki ACTRIS CiGas team

Invitation:
Intercomparison campaign of chemical ionization mass spectrometry to measure condensable vapors at TROPOS

Place: Tropos, Leipzig, Germany
Time: February 27th – March 10th, 2023

What we offer:
a) 2-weeks of chamber experiments including alpha-pinene oxidation, NOx dependency and sulfuric acid runs. The exact plan        depends on the interests of the participants.
b) intercomparison between different instruments participating to the workshop giving more insight of the transmission and     sensitivity of the instruments

Due to space limitations, we may need to restrict the number of participants (we can fit max. 10 instruments). The participants need to cover their own costs (sending of instruments, possible travel & accommodation costs).
