Prague Aerosol Calibration Centre (PACC)
The PACC was founded in 2020 as part of ACTRIS Topical Centre for Aerosol In-Situ observations (CAIS/ECAC). It serves for calibration and quality assurance of physical in-situ aerosol measurements and station audits for ACTRIS and for external users. (operational 2021).

Workshop Schedule 2025
Workshop Activities
Mobility Particle Size Spectrometer (MPSS) and Condensation Particle Counter (CPC)
In this workshop, the candidate MPSS is intercompared against the Reference MPSS system in two settings: settings at the home institute and in the laboratory. Two main calibrations are done: (1) calibration of the sizing efficiency with 203 nm PSL particles and (2) calibration of the HV power supply. The counting efficiency of the CPC for different particle diameters is determined using size-selected silver particles and compared against a Reference Electrometer. Aside from troubleshooting and maintenance of the instruments, capacity building is also done in these workshop through theory discussions, operation of instruments, and data evaluation training.

Aerodynamic Particle Size Spectrometer (APSS)
In this workshop, the candidate APSS is intercompared with another APSS unit using generated particles and ambient air. A sizing check is also done with a mixture of PSL particles of different sizes.Jakub Ondraceke-mail: ondracek[at]icpf.cas.czOffice: +420 220 390 316

Station audits and intercomparison
The stations demanding station audits will be visited by experienced scientist and the station will be audited to comply with the requirements of ACTRIS (measurement and isntrument set-up and following data treatment). The station intercomparison activity deals with real-time on-site intercomparison of various instruments (MPSS, CPC, APSS). In this case reference instruments are brought to the respective station and set to measure parallel to the inter-compared instrument for sufficient period of time.Jakub Ondraceke-mail: ondracek[at]icpf.cas.czOffice: +420 220 390 316
